Internship Development and Production, Ready-to-Wear

We at Workingmenblues are looking for a determined and resourceful intern to join our team in Amsterdam, assisting our Product team realizing ready-to-wear garments and accessories for several of our key-clients

THE JOB
You will be directly assisting our product managers in the development and production of our own fabric collections and our clients’ ready-to-wear collections.

• FOLLOW-UP: daily follow up of product development and production with suppliers and our colleagues.
• SOURCING: assisting in sourcing of fabrics and trimmings for running developments.
• PRODUCT QUALITY: checking materials and prototypes on conformity and quality of making.
• SWATCH REQUESTS: organizing client selections, cutting fabrics, preparing ship-outs.
• TECH FILES: precise tech files for garments and accessories.
• STOCK MANAGEMENT: digitally and physically upkeeping our stock of garments and fabrics, including photographing and picture editing.
• ACQUISITION: assisting in prospect client mapping and initial approach.

REQUIREMENTS

• EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: fashion, product development, business administration, design.
• CURRENTLY: enrolled in/recently graduated at uni (of applied sciences).
• FLUENCY: English.
• PERSONALITY: organized, detailed, time-focused, resourceful, passionate.
• COMPUTER SKILLS: OS-and MS-programs, excel. A plus: illustrator, Photoshop,
• ADVANTAGE: any relevant work experience.

• STARTING DATE: January/February. Exact date to be discussed.
• DURATION: 6 months.
• FULL-TIME
• LOCATION: Amsterdam.
• COMPENSATION: EUR 400/month.
• LAPTOP: we ask you to bring your own laptop including Illustrator and Photoshop. Coffees and lattes are on us.
• EU RESIDENCY: applicants should have an EU residence permit; we do not provide visa sponsorship.
• PS: we have a love for innovative fabrics.
