Fashion PR & Events Internship (m/f/d)
Fashion PR & Events Internship (m/f/d)
Put #DAMUR in the right inboxes, headlines, guest lists and cultural conversations.
Berlin · Primarily on-site · 3–6 months · Mandatory study internship
About the Role
#DAMUR is a Berlin-based high-end fashion label connecting gender-neutral fashion with music, nightlife, performance and contemporary culture.
You will turn collections, people and live moments into relevant stories for journalists, stylists, creators and cultural communities. You will support press outreach, sample coordination, guest-list communication and event visibility. This role focuses on PR and event communication; it does not include sponsorship sales.
A Professional Working Internship
This is a professional working internship—not a classroom, observation placement or beginner training programme.
We provide clear briefs, professional context, feedback and access to real projects. In return, you are expected to bring usable communication skills, think independently, take ownership and contribute to meaningful progress and results.
You do not need to know everything on your first day, but you must be resourceful, accountable and ready to learn through doing. We are looking for students who want to add value to the team—not wait for every step to be taught or repeatedly explained.
What You’ll Do
- Research relevant journalists, publications, stylists, creators and cultural platforms
- Maintain accurate press, stylist, creator and event contact lists
- Develop story angles and draft press releases, invitations and tailored outreach
- Coordinate samples, image requests, credits and press materials
- Manage invitations, RSVPs, guest lists and event communication
- Follow up professionally and move conversations forward without repeated reminders
- Track replies, published coverage, links and relevant media results
- Take responsibility for defined outreach cycles and support events on-site
You’re a Strong Fit If
- You study PR, communication, journalism, fashion communication, media or a related subject
- You write concise, confident and professional English
- You can identify a relevant story—not only repeat information from a press release
- You research beyond obvious contacts and understand why a pitch fits a specific publication
- You take responsibility for defined tasks and can work without step-by-step supervision
- You ask focused questions, act on feedback and communicate early when blocked
- You are organised, diplomatic and comfortable following up
- You care about accuracy, deadlines and results—not only completing assigned hours
- PR, editorial, showroom, event, German or Mandarin experience is a plus
What You’ll Gain
- Real responsibility within active fashion PR and event communication
- Direct contact with media, stylists, creators and cultural platforms
- Experience developing story angles and managing an outreach cycle
- Direct professional feedback on the quality, relevance and impact of your communication
- Portfolio-relevant writing where confidentiality and publication permissions allow

In the Motivation field, answer the following in a maximum of 300 words:
- Choose one #DAMUR story you would pitch, name one specific publication or cultural platform and explain why the story fits its audience.
- Tell us about one PR, communication or event task you were responsible for. What did you do, and what was the result?
- State your earliest possible start date, how long you can stay (3–6 months), and confirm that this is a mandatory study internship.
No formal cover letter is required. We want to understand how you think, communicate and respond to a brief—not read a generic letter about your background or what you hope to gain. Please answer all three questions directly.
